Services for Mrs. J.M. "Petch" Reed of Perrin, Texas were held in the Baptist Church of Whitt, Texas.

James "Jim" Reed and Mrs. Petch [Brawner] Reed were married in October 1887. The couple lived in Palo Pinto County until Jim Reed preceded  her in death. Mrs. Reed has made her home near Perrin, Texas since her husband's death.

Survived by two step-brothers - Bob Castlebury and Willie Castlebury; one step-sister - Belle Washburn, six sons - Everett Reed, Tom Reed, Oat Reed, Abb Reed, Bill Reed; three daughters - Mrs. Meggie Condes, Mrs. Della Nicklous, Mrs. Susie Cline; 36 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughers.
