Obituary, The Columbia Daily Tribune, June 24, 1999:

Louise Y. Wightman, 85, of Columbia died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center.

There will be no services.

Mrs. Wightman was born July 25, 1913, in Birmingham, Ala., to Charles and Annie Lee Steele Yeager. She married Maurice Wightman in July 1945, and he preceded her in death.

She earned a bachelor's degree in dietetics from Alabama College and had worked as a food service manager at Columbia College for 15 years. She was employed as assistant director of housing and food service for the University of Missouri-Columbia for 18 years until her retirement.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Altrusa International Inc., the American Red Cross and the American Dietetic Association.

Survivors include a brother, Thomas Yeager of Birmingham, Ala.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
