On Sunday, November 6, 2011, an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend returned to his heavenly home.

Vaughn Dee Long was born November 28, 1933 in Wallsburg, Utah to James R. and Alta Boren Long.

He married Fern Baldwin; they were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple.

He worked for thirty-seven years with Union Pacific Railroad and fifteen years selling real estate.

He loved his family, they meant everything to him. He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 742, where he was Commander for four years and also District #2 Commander for three years.

He leaves behind his wife; children: Colleen, Kay, Jim, Russell, Rebecca, Connie, Robert, and Mont; twenty-one grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Colleen, Janet, and Joyce; and brother, Clinton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 in the Heritage Second Ward Chapel, 7645 South 3200 West, where viewings will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: West Jordan City Cemetery.
