Roger A. Albright, age 71, of Huron, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Huron Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Congregational United Church of Christ Church with the Rev. Brian Grover officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery with military rites. Roger A. Albright was born December 31, 1938, at Huron, South Dakota to Jesse and Harriet (Jones) Albright. He grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School. Roger served in the United States Navy from June 5, 1956 to November 30, 1959. On May 20, 1967, he married Betty Brodkorb. He retired from a career at A T & T in 1992, and was employed for sixteen years at the Huron Public Schools as a school bus driver. Roger was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon and trustee. He was a lifetime member of Post #59 American Legion of Wolsey, and a member of the Elks, a couples card club, and the Filthy Fifteen Fishing Club. Roger was an avid Green Bay Packers and Huron Tigers fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, playing cards, and car racing. He especially loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Leone (Sandy) Calvert, Helen (Bill) Weinrach and Phyllis (Jack) Wright; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Leonard (MeMe) Albright and Ronald Albright.
