Doris Helen Douglas Duke, 76, died January 11, 2010 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospial in Jackson, TN.
Born February 17, 1933, in Parsons, TN, she had lived in Knoxville, Memphis, and Jackson.
She leaves her husband of 58 years, Guy Loyce Duke; daughters, Sherrye Baker of Colliersville and Jennifer Duke of Halls; grandchildren, Clay Burton, Jestin Burton and Brittany Duke, all of Memphis; sister, Thelma Greer; and several nieces and nephews of Parsons.
She was preceded in death by sons, Gary Lloyd Duke and Jeffery Carlos Duke; parents, Rev. Jessie J. Douglas and Opal C. Tubbs Douglas, and brother, Jay Douglas.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.
