He was a cotton farmer and cattle rancher all his life. He held the cotton yield per acre record at the Boswell Gin for 27 years and also held the yield record for black eyed peas in the Pixley area. His hobbies included his cattle and his dog, Zack. He had previouly served on Vincent, Pleasant View and Rockford School district boards; also serving on the Board of the Poplar Ditch Company.Burial was Aug. 20, 2003.
