Olon Reba Phillips, 76, Linton, died Tuesday, November 15, 1988 at Greene County General Hospital.

She was born June 13, 1912 in Linton to Robert and Carrie Beck Woodruff Sr. She was a former Pink Lady at the hospital and member of Home Extension Club, Otterbein United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev. Elmo Phillips who died in 1974, and three brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Cowden, Crawfordsville, Marilyn Stanton, Martinsville, and Myra Neal, New Palestine; one son James Phillips, Dugger; one brother Charles Woodruff, Evansville; two sisters Irmal Wools, Fruitland Park, Fla., and Marjorie Keller, Evansville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one god-daughter.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Homer Summit officiating. Burial is in Dugger Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
