He was born Jan. 23, 1931 in Indianola to Ora and Garnet Carrington Miller. He married Ruth Lorene Daniel on Aug. 30, 1953 in Catlin. She preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 2008. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis (Candy) Miller, Gary (Brenda) Miller and Kevin (Debbie) Miller; one daughter, Sherri (Scott) Givens; one sister, Emma Jean Estes; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Lowell was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He worked at Tee-Pak in Danville for more than 20 years. He was a member of Catlin Church of Christ, the Overcomers Sunday school class, Joyful Joiners and the American Legion.
