At that time, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson bought a home of their own in Tecumseh, and he worked for the county and city for several years and at various jobs. Mrs. Peterson died March 2, 1953.

About 12 years ago, Mr. Peterson transferred his church membership from the United Brethren chruch of Palmyra to the Christian church of Tecumseh.
