Cormack E. Boucher was born in 1908. He graduated in electrical engineering from Oregon State Universtiy in 1931. He is credited with the development of industrial X-ray equipment, and worked in Seattle on non-destructive testing equipment.
He began his career in the medical x-ray field and then branched into Industrial x-ray. He had many inventions - the most important was a crawling x-ray machine which crawled through pipelines to detect flaws...He had the first X-ray company in the Northwest and was a pioneer in his field, with offices in Canada, Caracas, Venezuela, Texas, Oklahoma, and Seattle, the home office. Before his death he was working with a physicist at the University of Washigton, on a portable linear accelerator.
He had a very inventive and brilliant mind and contributed a great deal in his field."
