Ebenezer Bartholomew served in the War of 1812 from the state of New York. He was a Private in Capt. Camp's Co., 6th Regiment of the New York Militia, and received a Bounty Land grant of 40 acres for his service. His wife's name was Charlotte, who is also buried in Ottawa Center Cemetery. Ebenezer's tombstone was located and photographed by the Michigan Society of U.S. Daughters of the War of 1812.
