To save a piece of history and her family heritage, Mrs. Bennett donated Johnson's Blacksmith Shop, formerly owned by her father, to the Delaware Agriculture Museum in Dover.
Mrs. Bennett was employed for 20 years with the Milford School District as a secretary at the Milford High School, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford and had been active with the United Methodist Women.
She enjoyed gardening and needlework.
