Mr Abrams was born on June 19, 1860 in Indiana and moved to Illinois with his parents when only two years old. On May 13, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Eliza A Osburn, and they came to Story County, Iowa, where they lived on a farm for four years, moving in 1892 to the frm where Mr Abrams died. In 1923 they retired from the farm and moved to Marshalltown but returned to their farm home a year ago.
The widow and two children survive. The latter are Payne of State Center and Mrs Wallace Carson of Brighton. Two brothers and two sisters also survive; Sam of Champaign, Ill., John of Waterloo, Mrs Frank Carter of Illinois and Mrs Sarah Lytle of Indiana. There are also four grandchildren living.
The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Associated Churches, with the pastor, Rev Wm Roberts in charge. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
