78, husband of Marita Pauline Evans Bussell, passed away November 5, 2011 at his home.

He was born October 4, 1933 in Fleming County to the late Goebel Allen & Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sapp Bussell, was a U.S. Army veteran, a technician at the Bluegrass Army Depot and attended the Barterville United Methodist Church.


Other survivors include 2 daughters, Deborah (Roger) Robinson, of Brodhead, and Charlene Anderson, of Carlisle; 2 brothers J. C. Bussell, of Utah, and Harvey Bussell, of Maysville; 1 sister, Shirley (Phil) Mitchell, of Carlisle; 4 grandchildren, Heather Robinson (Drew) Riley, Brandon Robinson, Adam (Heather) Anderson and Casey Anderson; 2 great-grandchildren, Brinn Riley and Collin Anderson; a great-granddog, Ace, and 3 special friends, Darren, Emily & Justin Gates. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.


He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Brooks, Fields & Floyd Bussell, and 4 sisters, Gladys Baer, Ora Grace "Tommy" Elmore, Georgia Lloyd & Corina "Renie" Shields.


Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Troy Miller with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.


Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorial contributions suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
