Miss LUCINDA S. HULET
ARLINGTON - Miss Lucinda S. Hulet, 57, a former school teacher, died Saturday at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington.
Born in Arlington Aug 13, 1908, she was a daughter of Herbert A. and Nellie (Sampson) Hulet, and had received her early education in the Arlington schools. She was a graduate of Boston University and of Castleton Teachers College.
She was a past worthy matron of the Order Eastern Star, a member of the Arlington Garden Club and Arlington Audubon Club, Taconic Grange in Shaftsbury, and had served as an officer in the Shaftsbury Community Club and the Bennington County Home Demonstration Group. She had taught nature study in various schools including Karn Hattin.
For many years she had resided with her brother, Thurston Hulet, who survives, besides a cousin.
The funeral was held this afternoon at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington with the Rev. Granville Greenwold, East Arlington Federated Church pastor, officiating. Entombment was in Evergreen Cemetery vault in Arlington.
