Inez M. Childers, 91, of Winfield, died Jan. 27, 1993, at Putnam General Hospital, Hurricane, after a short illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. Surviving: daughters, Naomi Briscoe of Laplata, Md., Estelle L. Peters of St. Albans; sons, Leslie Jr. of St. Albans, Denver L. of Winfield; sister, Alma McVey of Perry, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Chapman Funeral Home, Teays Valley, with Pastor Lee White officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon cemetery, Hurricane. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
