Mary Rose Perry Chetoni

Mary Rose Perry Chetoni, age 93, of Erie, formerly of West Springfield, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born September 2, 1918 in Beyer, Pa., a daughter of the late Angelo and Catherine Agnello Perry.

She had owned and operated the Penn State Inn for 12 years and was an avid homemaker.

Mary Rose loved her grandchildren and enjoyed social outings and time spent with friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Italo Chetoni; one son, Paul Chetoni; six sisters, Candice Trunzo, Pauline Buffone, Rose Lucarotti, Theresa Comi, Cora Ann Licato and Virginia Vernick and one brother, Anthony Perry.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Glenfield and husband William of Point Pleasant, N.J.; one son, Gary Chetoni and wife Sharon of Little Elm, Texas; three sisters, Elizabeth Cichetti of Erie, Anna Mae Lucas of Ashtabula, Ohio and JoAnn Bailey of Mentor, Ohio and three brothers, Fred Perry and wife Rose of Beyer, Pa., Dominic Perry and wife Ida of Erie, Charles Perry and wife Stella of Beyer, Pa. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Brian Chetoni and Jillian Ciak and husband Aaron and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. and may attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 147 West 24th Street, at 9:30 a.m.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
