MARION - Lorene Odom "Love" Smith, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at English Park Nursing Center after an illness.
She was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Hamilton and Mary Susan Richardson Odom. She was the widow of Lawrence Smith.
She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, First United Methodist Church, Warren Derrick Sunday school class and the Golden Favorites.
Survivors include a son, Larry Smith of Lumber City, Ga.; a daughter, Linda Strange of Marion; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7-9 tonight at Richardson-Miles Funeral Home of Marion.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Devotion Gardens. McMillan-Small Funeral Home is in charge.
