Beldenville
This community was saddened last Wednesday noon by the death f Mrs. Rachel Bennett who had been seriously ill for nearly three weeks. Rachel Mary Johnson was born near Meadville, Penn., July 6, 1846. She came with her parents to Wisconsin in 1849 and settled at West Bend. At the age of 17 she came to Ellsworth where she lived untill (sic) 1864 when she was married to John Parmeter and came to this place to live.
Four children were born to them. Jasper who died two years ago, Leon of West Port , S. D., Raymond of Bannock, Minn., and Arthur who lives near Spring Valley. Mr. Parmeter died in 187. In 1877 she was married to Joel Bennett. Two children were born to this union, Otto and Miss Edna both at home. She leaves besides these children, a great many relatives and a host of friends. She has been a faithful member of the Baptist church every since it was organized at this place. And we rejoice in the promise of they good and faithful servant come up higher, and that in due time we shall meet again.
