S/O James Ames and his 2nd wife, Mary Ellen (Lutz) Harris. H/O Mary M Stukey. They were married 30 Mar. 1887 in Williams Co., OH and had two children: Enos Ray (1896-1959) and Anna Mary (who died as an infant and is buried in the same Fulton Co. cemetery).

Enos & Mary lived in Williams Co. after their marriage, but moved to Fulton Co where both children were born and he was a farmer. At sometime between the 1910 & 1920 census they relocated to Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, owned their home and took in boarders. Enos was listed as a janitor at the university (Ohio State?) in 1920.
