Morley - Louise A. Smith, 81 years old, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Mar. 5, 2001, in Ocean Springs Hospital.
She was born Mar. 4, 1920, at Morley, daughter of Clarence and Nellie Florence Bryant Abernathy. She and McGoy Smith were married Jan. 16, 1937. He died Dec. 5, 1983.
She had been a machine operator at International Hat Factory in Oran. she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs, and former member of the First Baptist Church in Oran.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Lanny Smith; a daughter, Carolyn Matthews; a brother, Harold Abernathy; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.
