Cecil Q. Scherer, 94, died Dec. 7, 1991, in the Lee's Summit Hospital. She was born in Jackson County and lived in Houston from 1930 until she returned to Lee's Summit in 1960. Mrs. Scherer was a sales clerk at the Lain McAdoo Drug Store and later Valle Vista Rexall Drugs, for 23 years before she retired in 1984. She was a past president of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen's Auxiliary in Houston. She was a member of the Lee's Summit Historical Society. She was a member of the Lee's Summit Hospital auxiliary and a former volunteer in the hospital's gift shop. She was a member of the Lee's Summit Christian Church. Survivors include nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. Burial in the Lee's Summit Cemetery.
