Tilford R. Grant, age 80, of Leitchfield, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at his residence.

He was born July 1, 1931 on Pearman, Ky., the son of George Thomas and Oma Craddock Grant. He was a route salesman for Frito-Lay, and a member of the Leitchfield Volunteer Fire Department for 17 years.

Survivors include his wife of more than 61 years, Doris Mae Grant, of Leitchfield; one son, Tilford "Buddy" Grant, and one daughter, Susie Nickell (George), both of Elizabethtown; one sister, Wilma McClure, of Louisville; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three nieces, and two nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Thomas and Rebecca Ann Grant, and one brother, Larry Thomas Grant.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Mark Judd officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
