On Friday afternoon, at half past 4 o’clock, William S. Nicholls, in the 70th year of his age.

His friends and acquaintances and those of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral this (Monday) afternoon, at half past 4 o’clock, from his late residence, on the Heights of Georgetown.

In 1805 the place was bought by William Nicolls of Maryland, whose wife was Margaret Smith, a descendant of Captain John Smith.

They had two daughters, Roberta, who married William Frederick Hanewinckel of Richmond and Jennie, who married Colonel Hollingsworth.
