After having been in the Eliza Coffee Memorial hospital since September 14, when she was struck by a car near the Alabama-Tennessee state line on the Jackson Highway, Doris Jean Sparkman, the four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Sparkman of Killen, route 1, passed away Tuesday night at 8:30 o'clock. The little girl, who suffered a fractured skull and a broken leg in the accident, was unconscious when she entered the hospital and for the 24 days she was there, she never regained consciousness. hospital attaches report.
In addition to her parents, survivors are her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Gooch of Killen, route 1.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon by Wilbur Quillen from the Killen Church of Christ. Interment was in the Killen cemetery.
