Mother, your eyes have closed in rest,
We loved you, but God loved you best.
Your stay with us seemed such a short while,
But we'll always remember your sweet smile.
We're left here to walk alone,
But we'll think of your sweet heavenly home,
And try to live the best we can,
Until we once again can clasp your sweet hand.
For may you rest in peace,
mother dear,
You have what you deserved so much when you were here.
