Darrell A. Allen

Darrell A. Allen, 52, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Sept. 2, 1949, in Bedford. His parents were Arvie and Alma (McConnaha) Allen. He married Diane Poe on Oct. 17, 1970. She survives. Other survivors include six sons, Brian Allen of Gloucester, Mass., and Mark, Gary, Chad, James and Cameron Allen, all of Indianapolis; a daughter, Megan Allen of Indianapolis; a brother, Loy Allen of Indianapolis; two sisters, Jacque Allen and Teresa Cook, both of Indianapolis; and 14 grandchildren.

He was employed by KBR Trucking as a truck driver for two years.

He was a member of St. Philips Neri, Knights of Columbus, ABATE and Plasterers Local 46.

A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philip Neri in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Chapel of the Chimes. Burial will be at Proctor Cemetery in Bedford.
