Bro. Clayborn Ross Brown, 80, of Madisonville, Ky. passed away at 4:19 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born on June 2, 1931 in Madisonville to the late Jimmy Brown and Elizabeth Knox Brown. He was owner and operator of Brown and Son Trucking Company for 35 years. He was a former pastor of Madisonville Baptist Church and Henderson Baptist Church. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Owen Brown and a sister, Cinderella Cates.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Brown; two daughters, Cheryl (Jim) Dishman of Waco, TX and Debbie (Alan) Todd of Madisonville; two sons, Gerald Ross (Linda) Brown of Rockwall, Tx and Earl Wayne (Cynthia) Brown of Dawson Springs, Ky.; a sister, Martha Southerland of Madisonville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday November, 5, 2011 at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Rev. Kellan Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Dawson Springs.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
