Jerome M. "Jerry" Orrill, age 58 of Perry Township, died Wednesday morning at his home. His death followed an extended illness. He was born on August 15, 1946 in Pittsfield, IL and was the son of Carolyn (Brew) Orrill and the late Floyd Orrill. He was an area resident for the past 25 years. He was employed as the Controller with Ecodyne MRM. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Viet Nam Conflict and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He enjoyed golf and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Ellen A. (Goewey) Orrill whom he married January 2, 1981; his daughter, Amanda Orrill; his son, Kevin Orrill all of the home; his mother, Carolyn Orrill of Pittsfield, IL; his sisters, Judy Olson of Pittsfield, IL and Kathy Prentiss of Antelope, CA; and many other family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Orrill's name to Aultman Hospice, 4510 Dressler Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Aultman Hospice and especially to Carol and Marie for the special care that they provided.
