Winona passed away April 22, 2004 of complications following surgery.
She was born July 12, 1919 in Roosevelt, Utah to Stephen and Fannie Shelton. Married William Everton Casaday on September 14, 1935; later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death in November 1990. Later married Tawannee "Ty" Kolb November 6, 1999. Winona was an accomplished pianist and loved music. Her hobbies included dancing, camping, fishing and sewing. She was also an avid bowler.
Winona was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for some time as a temple worker. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Survived by her husband; children, Jeneale (Dennis) Carlson, William (Sandy) Casaday, Linda (Stephen) Machen, Colleen (Jerry) Hansen, Dennis (Marilyn) Casaday, Sheri-Lyn (Steven) Young, Shanon (Bob) Garden; stepchildren, Donal (Dona) Kolb, Karon (Byron) Knighton, Tyron (Vivian) Kolb; 35 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren and 57 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Adelia; grandchildren, Ronald and Carlene; two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 27th, 11:00 a.m. at the Parkway 3rd Ward, 10200 S. 3200 W. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road and from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
