A.C McCool,92 St.Joseph, Missouri, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the St. Joseph Health Care Center.

He was born near Palestine, TX on January 19, 1919

Mr.McCool was a veteran of World War II having served in the 993rd Guard Squadron of the Air Transport Command.

He came to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1943 while serving in the Army.

He was employed by Swift & Co working in the Smoked Meats Department for 23 years until they closed in 1970. He was then self employed as a painter until retiring in 1981.

Mr. McCool was a member of the First Christian Church and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a member of St. Joseph Lodge No. 78, A.F. and A.M. Moila Shrine, Moila Legion of Honor,High Twelve #49 and a Hot Sand Bug member for 32 years, then a Emeritus Member.

On March 17,1946 he married Elaine Anno in St. Joseph, who
survives of the home. They were married for 65 wonderful years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nannie McCool, three brothers, Willie, Clifton and Jessie Paul,and a sister, Lena Newman.

He is survived by Fred Baldock who was like a son, living in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Additional survivors Sister-in-law Joann Jones (Virgil),Falls City, Nebraska brother in law John Anno and his wife Lola, of Rulo,Nebraska, sister in law Wilma Anno, California,numerous nieces and nephews, and countless wonderful friends.

Services 10:00 A.M.Thursday First Christian Church .
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family suggest memorial gifts to the First Christian Church or Shriner's Hospital for Children.
