Julia was born February 1, 1843 in Ohio, daughter of John Adams and Mary Jane Campbell. She died January 22, 1918 in Vernon County, Wisconsin, aged 74 years, 11 months and 21 days, and was buried there in the Salem Ridge Cemetery.

On September 29, 1867 Julia was united in marriage to David C. Yakey in Vernon County, Wisconsin. David was born May 31, 1830 in Virginia, son of Jacob Yakey. He died February 23, 1908 in Vernon County, Wisconsin, aged 77 years, 8 months and 22 days, and was buried there in the Salem Ridge Cemetery. They resided in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Their 8 children were: Clara, b. 1869; Lucy, b. Feb. 1870; Laura, 17 Apr 1871; Ira, b, 1874; Harriet, b. 15 May 1877; Bryon, b. Jan 1883; Ozro, b. May 1887; & Clyde, b. Sep 1891.
