RAY WILSON BECK

Ray Wilson Beck, 87, Bargersville, died March 8. He was a farmer and had been a bus driver for Center Grove Schools. He was a member, trustee, deacon and Sunday school treasurer of Bluff Creek Christian Church, Greenwood, and vice president of Bluff Creek Cemetery Association.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund.

Services: 11 a.m. March 13 in Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel, with calling from 10 a.m. Burial: Bluff Creek Cemetery, Johnson County.

Survivors: wife Mary Elizabeth Pritchard Beck; children Nila Ray Fisher, Russell Beck; sister Mary Harbert ; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Ray Wilson Beck, 87, Bargersville, died Mar. 8, 2001, at Johnson County Hospital, Franklin.

He was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Johnson County. His parents were Gottlieb Ernest and Nora (Rush) Beck.

He married Mary Elizabeth Pritchard on Nov. 28, 1939, in Martinsville. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Russell Beck of Bargersville; a daughter, Nila Ray Fisher of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Mary Harbert of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Angel, Brandi and Brinnich Beck, all of Bargersville, Craig Fisher of Marco Island, Fla. and Tricia Goodpaster of Anderson; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Beck and Paul Beck; and two sisters, Gladys Perkins and Hazel Beck.

He was a 1934 graduate of Center Grove High School.

He was a self-employed farmer for 80 years and drove a school bus for Center Grove School Corporation.

He was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church in Greenwood and a trustee, deacon and Sunday School treasurer of the church. He was a vice president of the Bluff Creek Cemetery Association.

The Rev. Stan Icenogle will conduct a service at 11 am., Tuesday at Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel.

Burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery in Greenwood.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the mortuary.
