HENNESSEY- Alma E. Berkenbile, 81, died in a Hennessey Nursing Home Sunday. She had been in ill health several months.

Her services will be today at 2 p.m. in the Union Chapel Church in Hennessey with the Rev. Joe Redmond and the Rev. Clarence Herrin officiating. Burial will be in the Lyon Valley Cemetery under the direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home, Hennessey.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. The casket will remain closed following the service.
Mrs. Berkenbile was born east of Hennessey. She lived her entire life in the Hennessey area. She was a member of the Union Chapel Church in Hennessey. On March 8, 1914, she married Charles O. Berkenbile.

Survivors include her husband, Charles, of the home; three daughters: Mrs. (Irene) States, Hennessey, Mrs. Horace (Juanita) Rogers, Longview, Tex., and Mrs. Jim (Alene) Beck, Enid; four sons: Delmar, Hunter, Hollis, Hennessey, Charles V., Dallas, Tex., and Leland, Hennessey; three brothers: Roy Curry, Lockspur, Calif., Eugene Curry, Connecticut and Claude Curry, Hennessey; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
