Williams, an area resident since 1958, died Wednesday at the Bonner General Hospital. He was born Sept 1, 1896 in Alton, Missouri. He had been a steel worker and had worked construction jobs in the Northwest. He was also a veteran of World War One.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, for Charles Watson Williams, 74, at the Moon Chapel. Charles Wigton of the First Christian Church will officiate at the 2 p.m. service, with interment to follow at, Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne W. Williams, Manhattan, Kansas, Melvin Williams, Talache, and Clifford Williams, Bridgeport, Washington; one brother, Lon Williams, Cheney, Washington; 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
