Eldest son of Edwin Gilliam Booth and his wife Sarah Tanner Jones Booth. Born at Sherstone, Nottaway Co, VA. Enlisted 3rd Virginia Cavalry CSA. Commissioned Asst Surg CSN. Captured when ship the Selma was sunk in Battle of Mobile Bay. Paroled a few weeks after the surrender at Appomattox. Died at the Wythe House, Williamsburg.
