The couple moved to Missouri sometime before 1859 when their daughter Sarah was born. Aaron was a farmer as were many men of those days. In the 1880 census we find him living next door to A.B. Welch and family in Cold Springs, Phelps, MO.
By the 1900 census both Frank and Aaron Jr. are married and living next to their parents in Cold Springs. Aaron Sr. continues working as a farmer. He and Mary remain in Cold Springs until their deaths.
NOTE: His parents may have been James A & Rebecca (McNerlin) Lewis.
