OBITUARY

A. William Bullock
Landed in Normandy on D-Day
A. William "Bill" Bullock, 83, of 41 Carriage Lane, Bedford, N.H., died Oct. 11, 2004, at his home.
He was born in Trenton, N.J., on Nov. 7, 1920, a son of the late Arthur D. and Alina (Bloom) Bullock.
Mr. Bullock had been a resident of Bedford for 25 years. He attended St. Luke's Anglican Church in Amherst, and enjoyed traveling.
He was a graduate of Dartmouth College, Class of 1942.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Bullock had served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He was a commanding officer of an LCT in the amphibious forces, landing on Utah Beach, Normandy, on D-Day.
Mr. Bullock had been employed by Princeton University as an administrator for 15 years, and for many years, he had worked for Pepsi Cola in New York and Merck Company in New Jersey.
Family members include his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Hill) Bullock of Bedford; two sons, Dudley H. Bullock of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Thomas F. Bullock of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter and son-in-law, Louisa P. and Alan M. Betty of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald B. and Marilyn Bullock of Bluffton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. A memorial service was held October 13 in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Amherst. Burial will be in Princeton, NJ, at a later date.
