Born at Payson Township on the Elias Adams Farm. First child and daughter of Malinda [Belinda] Railey and Elias Adams.

Immigrated to Salt Lake Valley in 1850 with her family. Married Richard Pilling 10 March 1856 at Salt Lake City, SL, Utah.

They moved to Canada 9 May 1889, settling in the St. Mary's River region, eight miles south of Cardston, Alberta. They were cattle ranchers.
