Mrs. Bennevis Hartley, 93, of Hamburg, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. Mrs. Hartley was a native of Drew County and a resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg for the past 70 years. She was a homemaker, a farmer's wife and a Baptist. She was an excellent cook and she loved to quilt.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen A. Hartley in 1995; a grandson, David Hartley; her parents, Charles Thomas & Ethel Winningham Starling; a sister, Pauline Starling Berwick and three brothers, CT, Lester & Paul Laron Starling.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Hartley and wife, Mildred, and Don Hartley and wife, Katy, all of Hamburg; two sisters, Colie Will Berryman of Hamburg and Virginia Pierce of Star City; four grandsons, Kenny Hartley of Hamburg, Mark Hartley and wife, Lynda, of Aurora, Nebraska, Mike Hartley and wife, Melissa, & Joey Hartley and wife, Alicia, all of Hamburg; 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hartley and Rev. Jerry Grant officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Hartley, Joey Hartley, Shane Hartley, Spencer Hartley, Kenny Hartley, Charles Berryman, Jamie McKinney and Hoyle Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Johnie Guthrie and Laron Berryman. Memorials may be made to the Eden Cemetery Association, c/o Mr. Jerry Stanley, 747 HWY 8 West, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to a favorite charity.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
