Hope this little note finds you well. I am Billy Walker a direct descendant of the Bennett’s in Greenup County Kentucky and Scioto county Ohio. I have an extensive Biography of B.F. I really don’t know how it works but if you want to transfer the Memorial to me I can update it with some really good information. I’m William Walker #46494965.

BENNETT

Benjamin Franklin Bennett, the third son of Joseph Bennett, was born in Harrisonville, Ohio, and grew to manhood there. He married Sarah Ann Snodgrass in Scioto County, Ohio, in 1849 and moved to Tygart Valley near the Globe Iron Furnace. Here he built a flour mill and made the first flour in Greenup County. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1866. He opened an office in Greenup and built a fine brick house on the hill in the rear of the town, in the late 1870's. Benjamin Franklin Bennett was a sergeant in the Fifty-sixth Ohio Infantry during the Civil War, road commissioner in Greenup County for four years, a delegate to the state Constitutional Convention in 1890, and representative from his district to the General Assembly. The name Bennett has played a prominent part in the political life of Greenup County for many years.
