WEST WEBER- Arnold James Hipwell, 76 died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1989 at his home of injuries sustained in a farm accident.

He was born March 21, 1913 in West Weber, a son of John and Louisa Ann Knight Hipwell

He married Virginia Beus on March 22, 1938 In the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a lifelong resident of West Weber and attended the Weber County Schools.

He was an active member of the West Weber 1st LDS Ward.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1973 after 32 years of service.

His hobbies included horse racing, camping and traveling.

Surviving are his wife of West Weber and two sons, Kenneth and Darlene Hipwell, Hesperia, Calif.; Gary and Tahna Hipwell, West Weber; six grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and four sisters, Arvil Hipwell, West Weber; Edna Moyes, Plain City; Vina Swope, Toledo, Ohio; Maude Conger and Golda Smith, both of Ogden.

He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, a grandson, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the West Weber 1st Ward Chapel, 900 South 4100 West, with bishop Oren Flinders officiating.

Friends may call at Lindquist & Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden, 3408 Washington Blvd., Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saurday at the Ward Chapel from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
