Mrs Fannie Barnes Rackett, widow of the late Grant Elisha Rackett of East Marion, passed away at the Eastern Long Island Hospital, Greenport, on Monday, April 19, after a several weeks’ illness. Mrs Rackett, who was in her 88th year, was born in East Hampton but spent most of her life in East Marion.
Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of East Marion on Thursday, April 22, Dr Fred Stacey pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in the East Marion Cemetery.
Surviving Mrs Rackett is one son, George Rackett of Greenport.
