David William Lindsay served in the US Navy for 30 years. He had just returned to his home in Byron Wyoming following his first enlistment when Pearl Harbor was attacked. He reenlisted in the Navy and served in the South Pacific Theatre as a Chief Petty Officer. He served in WWII and Korea. Full military honors were accorded at his grave site.
