POOLER - Aline S. Sowell, 84, of Pooler, Ga. died Sunday October 30, 2011 at Candler Hospital.

She was born in Bulloch County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wallie and Jewell Sparks. She was a member of Burkhalter Baptist Church and was a Medical Transcriptionist for many years.

She is survived by 1 son, Charles Richard Sowell, Jr. (Lynn) of Bremen, Ga.; 2 daughters, Jackie Tatum (Frank) of Pooler, Ga. and Jeannie Jones (Rick) of Macon, GA.; 2 sisters, Cleo Hodges-Lanier and Dorothy M. Lanier both of Statesboro, Ga.; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany Tatum and Barrett Tatum and 4 others; 1 great-grandchild, Aliyah Aline and 6 others, and several Nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Breast Cancer.

Visitation: 5 - 8 pm Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory 2794 U.S. Hwy 80 West Garden City, GA. 31408.

Funeral Service: 1 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Cooper Officiating.

Interment 3 pm at Eastside Cemetery Statesboro, Ga. Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory 2794 U.S. Hwy 80 West Garden City, GA 912-964-2862.
