Schneider Rites Friday
Erich G. Schneider, 74, passed away yesterday at his home south of Monrovia. He suffered a stroke February 24, following a long bout with the flu.
Mr. Schneider was born November 5, 1887, a son of August and Elizabeth Schneider of Atchison. He was married to Catherine Bonnell, April 8, 1916, in Liberty Mo.
Mr. Schneider was in the feed and coal business in Atchison for several years. He moved to his home south of Monrovia in 1941. He was a member of the Monrovia Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife of the home, a son Dale Schnieder, Kansas City, a brother Ruben, San Diego, Calif., and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Warren Funeral home, Nortonville, the Rev. Willard Braker of the Monrovia Methodist Church officiating. The casket will be open prior to the funeral, but will be remain closed during the service. Pallbearers are Robert Christie, Eldon Kirkham, Ralph Olson, Perry Garten, Joe Linscott, and Herbert Rathert.
Burial will be in the Effingham cemetery.
