He married 1st, by about 1618, Mary ____ ("Mary, wife to Anthony Thacher, cleric," was buried at St. Edmund, Salisbury, on 26 Jul 1634).
They had five known children:
1. William, b. say 1618; drowned 15 Aug 1635.
2. Mary, b. say 1620; drowned 15 Aug 1635.
3. Edith, bp. Queen Camel, Somerset, 7 Feb 1621/2; drowned 15 Aug 1635.
4. Peter, b. say 1630; drowned 15 Aug 1635.
5. Benjamin, b. 13 Apr 1634, bp. St. Edmund, Salisbury, 27 Apr 1634; buried there 4 Sep 1639.
