OBITUARY: 1972
Floyd Jennings Adams, son of the late George and Virginia Rodgers Adams was born April 5, 1900 near Rosebud, Mo. He departed from this life suddenly at his home in Rosebud on February 8, 1972, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, and 3 days.
He was united in holy matrimony with Anna Buehrer in 1925. Two sons were born to this union. Anna passed away in May 1941 and also one son Melvin in February 1948.
On August 21, 1955, he was united in marriage with Edna Toelke Nolting. Mr. Adams was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Luteran Church at Rosebud on May 11, 1955. He remained a member of this church until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Edna, one son Earl of Port Orchard, Wash., daughter-in-law, Margie, one step-son Ronald Nolting of Gerald, one step-daughter, Beverly Winter of Rosebud, step-daughter-in-law LaVerne Nolting, step-son-in-law Leward Winter, six grandchildren, Mary Ann, Earl Jr., and Mark Adams, Penelope Ann Liedtke, Kathleen and Michael Winter, one sister Enola Dyhouse of Owensville, two brohters, John O. Adams of St. Louis, and Aubrey Adams of Owensville, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his wife Anna and son Melvin he was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers. Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Rosebud on Friday February 11, 1972 with Rev. Duane Ludwig officiating. Interment was made in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery at Rosebud.
