KITTLE RITES SET TUESDAY

Samuel D. Kittle, 78, R. 5, Celina, died of a sudden heart attack at 6:45 a.m. yesterday at his residence.
He was born Aug. 27, 1896, in Paulding County, the son of Elmer and Susan (Wade) Kittle.
He married Mary C. Miller Sept. 7, 1916, and she survives with two sons, Naaman E., and Victor D., both of Celina; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Straley, Bradenton, Fla., and a brother, Forest, R. 5, Celina. He was preceded in death by a daughter, who died in infancy, one sister and one brother.
Mr. Kittle was a farmer and member of Erastus United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Revs. Kenneth Galdeen and Walter Crosby. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at Vale-Stein-Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, after 2 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Tuesday and will lie in state until the time of services. (Obituary contributed by Karin King)
