Raymah Charlotte Armes, 88, of Milan, MO died Tuesday evening, May 24, 2011 at Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan. The daughter of George Albert and Norma Mae (Bennett) Sayre, she was born February 11, 1923 in Milan. On September 3, 1964 in Kansas City, MO she married Robert Alva Armes and he survives. Also surviving are; one brother Amos Sayre and wife June of Milan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-daughter Donna Armes; three brothers, Glen, Jake and Joe Sayre and six sisters. Pauline Smith, Mary Alice Heaton, Maxine Sayre. Donna Lloyd, Vivian Helton and Betty Bailey. Raymah was a wire transfer clerk for United Banks in Kansas City until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Pollock, MO. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Friday, May 27, 2011 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, with Evangelist John Lee Officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery east of Milan. Casket bearers were her nephews.
